My girl, Maddy ! She is so full of energy ! Full of life ! I just love her ! I also love Laurie Berkner ! We get excited when we hear her on Noggin network ! Her lyrics inspire me ! TWENTY-EIGHT TO GRADUATE FROM FIRE ACADEMY

Twenty-eight firefighters from Mobile, Saraland and Atmore, of which twenty-six will work for Mobile Fire-Rescue, will graduate and receive their badges and fire helmets on Friday, May 30, 2008 after having completed approximately nineteen weeks of training at the department’s training academy. Mayor Sam Jones is scheduled to address the graduating class at the ceremony which begins at 11 a.m. at the Saenger Theatre located at 6 Joachim Street in downtown Mobile.

In addition to physical requirements and demands, each recruit spent over 640 hours, meeting the academic requirements necessary to become firefighters in the State of Alabama. These hours consisted of classroom studies as well as hands on training in 21 subject areas. While attending the Mobile Fire-Rescue Training Academy, each recruit met the requirements set by the Alabama Fire College and Personnel Standards Commission in obtaining their Firefighter I and II certification, as well as, Hazardous Materials Awareness and Fire Inspector I certifications. All recruits also passed and received their State and National Registry license for Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B).

Goodbye Preschool : (

Grant finished 4 yr preschool this year ! We are a little sad because it was a very close set of friends! The same kids in the 3 yr old class , all of them, were in the 4 yr class. They are all great friends with each other! We will miss his teachers so much ! They are very special people and we will miss them dearly !

We love Knoebels !

A week before the Memorial Day weekend, my husband drove us to Knoebels Amusement Park! We visited here last Fall, it is a great place and very economical ! Very Family friendly ! Surrounded by gorgeous mountains ! It was a spontaneous trip , a surprise to the kids! Fun Day !

A little busy lately....

' been a little busy lately, but who isn't ! School is winding down. Baseball is wrapping up ! Alot of Spring activities ! I was creative 1 night & stayed up till 3:00 AM to complete an 8x8 graduation album for my husband's cousin. I was happy to do it, since they lost their home in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. My husband's aunt & uncle, their 2 daughter's & their families have had to start a new life . Preserving memories are so important! THIS is why I'm a caffeine addict ! Other than that, just been busy !

Coffee & Clutter....

Yes, my space is cluttered! I usually have 3 or 4 project piles going on at once! This actually looks pretty good, since the surface is actually visible!

Now , onto coffee!
Yes I did get my FREE Dunkin iced coffee yesterday! ( only once free ) !
I have saved several coffee sleeves and decided to create a mini album. All I did is glue the bottoms to make pockets to hold the tags. I am calling it " The Way I See It " If you're a Starbucks fan, you know there is an opinion of some famous person or artist printed on the cups. So, I think I will use it for my coffee therapy journal! Write down all my excuses why I spend money on coffee! " The Way I See It..." # 1. I deserve It #2. I don't splurge on anything else ever
#3. I'll just drink my calories today. #4. I NEED it !
#5. I will enjoy this coffee better than made at home coffee because the kids are strapped in the carseats... aside from the fact someone else made it & served it to me, I will actually get to finish it ! On and on... I have millions of them !

So in the pics you will see ( yes, my clutter in the back ) but on the right is a silly little coffee paperbag book I made 2 years ago. All the stamps that were used to make the newest ( thanks Annette for all the coffee stamps ! Love ya girl!) And my coffee " art" cup that i doodled & decorated. On the left is the Starbucks mini
( If you're reading Stacy, do the green polka dots look familiar? left over from one of your kits in the past ! ) Oh, and back home there is a wonderful coffee house called " Carpe Diem" and my mom sent me a pound of " Southern Pecan " Yumm ! I am drinking it now.. ( thanks mom!)
